Easter Events & Egg Hunts in the Lake District & Cumbria

One of our favourite places to spend Easter is in the Lake District. With newborn baby lambs, daffodils galore and often glorious sunshine, Cumbria in the Spring really is the perfect place.

There are also plenty of organised Easter activities to keep children and the whole family entertained over the Easter holidays. We’ve researched the many Easter Egg Hunts available in the Lake District National Park and around Cumbria. Many of these are free to take part in if you are looking for budget family activities at Easter.

When is Easter 2024?

This year, Easter weekend falls fairly early with Easter Sunday on 31st March 2024. Many Easter events will be limited to the 4 main days of Good Friday 29th March, Easter Saturday 30th March, Easter Sunday 31st March and Easter Monday 1st April. School holidays vary massively around the North West so you may also find more activities scheduled over the entire Easter period.
